I know its been awhile since I've last updated ya'll with any pictures. The puppies have had their 2nd vet visit and been dewormed. They are pretty mobile now and healthy as can be. Below is a short QUICKTIME movie and a couple Powerpoint shows.
Right click the following link and select "Save Target As..." to download the movie. You will have to use a program like Quicktime to view this clip or any other program that can view .MOV fles. Windows Media Player and Winamp can't.
The following links are 2 Powerpoint Shows with pictures of the babies with their eyes opening and opened.
The puppies are getting alittle bigger but they haven't opened their eyes yet. Bummer really, was hoping it would be a cool Bday present for me if they could see their Grand Daddy.
I haven't taken any pictures of them lately as they would look just the same as those previously taken. Once they do open their eyes, the pictures will be rolling in again.
Texas is hot....
The puppies and Lilly had gone to the Vet this past saturday, their first of many to come. Was quite amusing actually, they put medical tape with numbers on their backs to be able to tell them apart. Its confirmed now though, five boys and 1 girl. One of the black and creams is the girl. The vet said that the kids and the mother are all doing fine. In a couple weeks, they all go in, including Harley for another checkup and for deworming.
I have a few pictures you can view, you'll notice in several of them, they all still have their "racing numbers" stll on. Thinking of rigging up one of them rat race setups and letting them go =)
A few days have passed since my first post here. Nothing really new to report on the puppy front as they are still eating and sleeping. Lilly though, I'm guessing has become more confident or crazy, she leaves them while they are sleeping to spend time with me. But once she hears one of them crying, she's quick to leave me and be back with them. Guess she only plays deaf when I'm calling for her.
Oh well... New pictures below!!!
Hey all!!
The puppies look to be doing very well. All they ever do is eat and sleep and make cute sounds that keep me up at night.
Lilly has been doing very well. I’m very proud of her that she has instinctively taken on the role of mom with these puppies. I mean, I know… they are hers and what mother wouldn’t tend to her own but the risk that she wouldn’t was still there. I went to the vet today to schedule an appt for her and the puppies, they are set to go this coming Saturday (8/25/2007). The receptionist gave me a free visit checkup for Lilly and the puppies will be 4.99 per. She also told me that the puppies won’t be needing any of their shots till they are 6 weeks old, barring no complications of course.
Lilly has been taken off normal adult dry meals and put on wet puppy food. The vet explained that puppy food is more rich in the necessary vitamins and minerals that not only Lilly needs but also what the puppies require too. As long as she keeps eating this puppy food, she should maintain her strength during the weeks to come as they feed from her.
Anyhow, click on the link below for another Powerpoint slide with pictures from Day 3. Enjoy!!!
